Braintree's Under 13's extended their winning run to 3 matches with a comfortable win over West Bergholt. Having won the toss on a glorious evening, captain Lucas Hale pulled a surprise move to bowl first but it wasn't long before he decision was vidicated as Corbyn MacLeod ripped through the top order taking 3 wickets in his first 10 balls as he followed up his 8-17 in the U12's a week earlier. With only Edward Jones, who took advantage of the extra pace offered by Hale in particular, offering any resistance wickets fell regularly as Bergholt limped to 88 all out despite Jones scoring 39 before Tyler Dyer cleaned him up.

Will Sherry, the leagues leading run scorer, and Bertie Burnside then put on 80 in quick time as they tucked into some wayward bowling, Burnside was particularly brutal hitting 7 x 4's in his 39 before he was bowled by Monrow Davies.
